When did you start Kari Munro?

I launched the brand in 2016 after many years in the jewellery industry.

How did you get started?

I studied Jewellery Design & Silversmithing at John Cass in London and then worked for other jewellers, stone dealers and designers in London & further afield before realising my dream of having my own brand.

What's your favourite part of the brand?

The wearability of the pieces and also taking on one-off commissions with clients - that really makes my heart sing!

All of the pieces are designed, made and finished in the UK and we are a small team who are involved from start to finish - this is really important to me.
All of our pieces are solid metals and again, that is important to me as I care about the longevity and 'everyday' aspect of the jewellery.
Our collections are designed to be worn together - stacked or layered.

Where are your pieces made?

In Hatton Garden and the West End of London.

What are the pieces made from?

Solid 9ct gold in yellow, rose or white and sterling silver. We can however make any piece in 18ct gold should a client wish.

What's your favourite piece in the collection?

Large yellow gold hoop earrings in Ivy.

How are your products named?

I have named all of the collections after the important people in my life - including sisters, nieces and special friends.

Which pieces do you wear everyday?

My everyday piece is a large and mini Gala disc on a belcher chain engraved with a K & a heart and I also always wear a stack of three (sometimes four) rings on my right hand - I change the styles and colours!

What are you designing at the moment?
